Let's talk about books

I love reading, yet I go in spurts with it. Because books serve a larger purpose in my life which is loving to learn.

If I'm taking a course, studying for a certification or stretching myself in some sort of way, reading is usually on the back burner. Then in the summer months, it’s not uncommon for me to have 2-3 books going at a time, depending on the mood I want while enjoying the Northern Michigan beaches.

With all the conversations I have about book recommendations, suggestions, and inquiries as to my favorites…I figured making the list and sharing my top 10 would be a fun newsletter. And, hopefully encourage you to share back one or two of your favorites as well.

In no particular order, here you are!

  • The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership - John Maxwell

  • The 4:8 Principle - Tommy Newberry

  • The Comfort Crisis - Michael Easter

  • You’re a Badass at Making Money - Jen Sincero

  • Traction - Gino Wickman

  • Dare to Lead - Brene Brown

  • Quiet Strength - Tony Dungey

  • The 6 Types of Working Genius - Patrick Lencioni

  • Profit First - Mike Michalowicz

  • The Surrender Experiment - Michael A. Singer

At the end of the day, books are good at providing information, yet bad at creating a journey of transformation. That’s what coaching is for.

If you find yourself saying, “I know what to do, I just don’t know how to make myself do it”, it could be time for a call.

Yes, seriously…we can have a one-time coaching call on the house. It’s just you and me, in a safe, trusted space, accelerating your path through the challenges you face.
