The moment before things finally change

Usually, growth isn’t fun.
There, I said it.
If it were, we’d all be walking around enlightened, boundary-holding, well-rested unicorns. But instead, growth often looks like sitting in your car for an extra minute before walking into that meeting…or rereading an email for the fifth time because you know a harder conversation is coming.
Who we become after growth? That part is amazing.
The clarity. The confidence. The fresh perspective. The tools that actually work.
But the process to get there?
It’s often a lonely, swampy slog that feels more like trudging through emotional mud than some inspirational highlight reel.
Still, we need growth. Anyone who says they don’t? Big red flag.
Here’s the part most people miss: Internal growth always comes before external results.
Sit with that for a moment.
Think about the last meaningful shift you made:
External progress: You finally had the tough conversation instead of avoiding it.
Just before: You decided (quietly but firmly) that this boundary wasn’t getting crossed again, and you thought through how to say it.
External progress: You took a vacation and didn’t open your laptop…not once!
Just before: You trusted others, put systems in place, and let go of the belief that everything would fall apart without you.
External progress: You released that client. You know the one.
Just before: You got clear on your most profitable, aligned work—and stopped convincing yourself that you had to say yes to all work that came your way.
We’re often so focused on doing the next thing that we overlook the internal shift required to make it sustainable.
That’s where coaching comes in. In 1:1 conversations, we slow things down just enough to find the real obstacle, identify leverage, and accelerate the growth that actually sticks.
Bonus? You don’t have to do the swampy part alone.
Yes, seriously. A one-time coaching call on the house. Just you and me, in a safe, trusted space—helping you move through what’s in the way so forward progress doesn’t feel quite so heavy.
